Visit to Japan by Mr. Abdul Sattar, Foreign Minister of Pakistan

- Mr. Abdul Sattar, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, accompanied by his suite, will visit Japan from March 14 (Wed) to 17 (Sat) as Guest of the Foreign Minister.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Sattar will meet with Mr. Yohei Kono, Foreign Minister, and exchange views on bilateral relations, international issues, and other matters, as a follow-up on the visit to Pakistan by Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori in August last year. His schedule will also include consultations with leaders of the political arena and the private sector.
- This will be the first visit to Japan by a Pakistani Foreign Minister since that of then Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz in March 1998. From Japan, then Foreign Minister Yukihiko Ikeda visited Pakistan in July 1997.
