Visit to Japan by Mr. Felipe Ramon Perez Roque, Minister of Foreign Relations of Cuba

- Mr. Felipe Ramon Perez Roque, Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Cuba, accompanied by a suite, will visit Japan from March 3 (Sat) to 6 (Tue) as Guest of the Foreign Minister of Japan.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Perez will have talks with Foreign Minister Yohei Kono and other Ministers. He will also meet with members of the Diet including Mr. Hiroshi Mitsuzuka, President of the Japan-Cuba Parliamentary League of Friendship, people concerned from government-related organizations, the business community, and others.
- Japan-Cuba relations have developed constructively in recent years. The main purpose of the Minister's visit is to exchange views extensively with relevant persons on issues of interest to both countries including the promotion of bilateral relations. This will be the first visit to Japan by a Foreign Minister of Cuba in two years since the then Minister Roberto Robiana Gonzalez visited Japan in February 1999.
