国際原子力機関憲章第六条の改正
AN AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE VI OF THE STATUTE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY
国際原子力機関憲章第六条を次のように改正する。
(a) A1から3までを次のように改める。
(a) Replace sub-paragraphs A. 1-A 3 by the following:
1 任期の終了する理事会は、理事国として、原子力に関する技術（原料物質の生産を含む。)の最も進歩した九の加盟国及び、次の地域のうちこれらの九の加盟国のいずれも含まれない地域のそれぞれにおいて、原子力に関する技術(原料物質の生産を含む。)の最も進歩した一の加盟国を指定する。
"1. The outgoing Board of Governors shall designate for membership on the Board the nine members most advanced in the technology of atomic energy including the production of source materials, and the member most advanced in the technology of atomic energy including the production of source materials in each of the following areas in which none of the aforesaid nine is located:
(1) 北アメリカ
(1) North America
(2) ラテン・アメリカ
(2) Latin America
(3) 西ヨーロッパ
(3) Western Europe
(4) 東ヨーロッパ
(4) Eastern Europe
(5) アフリカ
(5) Africa
(6) 中東及び南アジア
(6) Middle East and South Asia
(7) 東南アジア及び太平洋
(7) South East Asia and the Pacific
(8) 極東
(8) Far East.
2 総会は、理事国として、
2. The General Conference shall elect to membership of the Board of Governors:
(a) A1に掲げる地域の加盟国が理事会全体として公平に代表されるように妥当な考慮を払った上で、ラテン･アメリカ地域の五人の代表者、西ヨーロッパ地域の四人の代表者、東ヨーロッパ地域の三人の代表者、アフリカ地域の四人の代表者、中東及び南アジア地域の二人の代表者、東南アジア及び太平洋地域の一人の代表者並びに極東地域の一人の代表者が理事会においてこの部類に常に含まれるように、二十の加盟国を選出する。いずれか一の任期においてこの部類に含まれた加盟国は、その次の任期にこの部類で再選される資格を有しない。
(a) Twenty members, with due regard to equitable representation on the Board as a whole of the members in the areas listed in sub-paragraph A. I of this article, so that the Board shall at all times include in this category five representatives of the area of Latin America, four representatives of the area of Western Europe, three representatives of the area of Eastern Europe, four representatives of the area of Africa, two representatives of the area of the Middle East and South Asia, one representative of the area of South East Asia and the Pacific, and one representative of the area of the Far East. No member in this category in any one term of office will be eligible for re-election in the same category for the following term of office; and
(b) 次の地域の加盟国のうちから、さらに一の加盟国を選出する。

(b) Bにおいて、
(b) In paragraph B:
(i) 第一文中「A1及びA2」を「A1」に改める。
(i) First sentence-replace "sub-paragraphs A-I and A-2" by "sub-paragraph A-1"; and
(ii) 第二文中「A3」を「A2」に改める。
(ii) Second sentence-replace "sub-paragraph A-3" by "sub-paragraph A-2";
(c) C中「A1及びA2」を「A1」に改める。
(c) In paragraph C, replace "sub-paragraphs A - I and A-2"by "sub-paragraph A-1";and
(d) D中「A3」を「A2」に改め、ただし書を削る。
(d) In paragraph D, replace "sub-paragraph A-3" by "sub-paragraph A-2", and delete the second sentence.
