AGREEMENT TO EXTEND THE REGIONAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING RELATED TO NUCLEAR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, 1987

　オーストラリア、バングラデシュ、中華人民共和国、インド、インドネシア、日本国、大韓民国、マレイシア、パキスタン、フィリピン、シンガポール、スリ・ランカ、タイ及びヴィエトナムの政府(以下「締約国政府」という。)は、千九百八十七年六月十二日に効力を生じ同日から五年間効力を有する千九百八十七年の原子力科学技術に関する研究、開発及び訓練のための地域協力協定(以下、「千九百八十七年の地域協力協定」という。)の締約国であり、

　WHEREAS the Governments of Australia. Bangladesh, the People's Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka Thailand and Vet Nom (hereinafter referred to as the Governments Parties) ore parties to the Regional Co-operative Agreement for Research. Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology "1987 (hereinafter referred to as the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement) which entered into force on 12 June 1987 and is to remain in force for o period five years from that dole;

　千九百八十七年の地域協力協定は、千九百九十二年六月十一日に効力を失うので、

　WHEREAS the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement is due to expire on 11 June 1992;

　締約国政府は、関係加盟国の間の協力計画及び調整された研究計画を行うための地域的な枠組みを提供する上での千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の有用性にかんがみ、千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の有効期間をその失効の日から更に五年間延長することを希望するので、

　WHEREAS the Governments Parties desire to extend the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement with effect from the dole of its expiry for a further five-year period in view of its usefulness in providing a regional framework for initialing co-operative projects and co-ordinated research programming between interested Member Stoles;

　よって、次のとおり協定する。

　NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows:

第一条　千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の有効期間の延長

ARTICLE 1　Extension of the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement

　千九百八十七年の地域協力協定は、千九百九十二年六月十二日から更に五年間引き続き効力を有する。別段の合意がない限り、千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の実施のために作成されたいずれの取決めも、延長された期間引き続き効力を有する。

　The 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement shall continue force for a further period of five years with effect from 12 June 1992 Unless otherwise agreed all arrangements mode in implementation of the 1987 Regional Co-operative agreement shall also continue in force during the extended period.

第二条　効力発生

ARTICLE 2　Entry into force

1　千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の締約国政府及び千九百八十七年の地域協力協定の第十二条に規定する国際原子力機関(以下「機関」という。)の加盟国の政府は、この延長協定を受諾する旨を機関の事務局長に通告することにより、この延長協定の締約国政府となることができる。

1.　Any Government Party to the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement and any Government of any Member State of the International Atomic Energy Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) referred to in Article XII of the 1987 Regional Co-operative Agreement may becomes a Party to this Extension Agreement by notifying its acceptance thereof to the Director General of the agency.

2　この延長協定は、機関の事務局長が二番目の受諾の通告を受領した日に効力を生ずる。この延長協定は、その後にこの延長協定を受諾する政府については、機関の事務局長が受諾の通告を受領した日に効力を生ずる。

2.　This Extension Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the Director General of the Agency of the second notification of acceptance. With respect to a Government accepting the Agreement thereafter. it shall enter into force on the dale of receipt by the Director General of the Agency of the notification of such acceptance.
