旅券査証料の相互免除に関する日本国政府とアメリカ合衆国政府との間の取極の再改正取極（口上書）

　アメリカ合衆国大使館は、外務省に敬意を表するとともに、千九百六十六年九月二十二日に実施された旅券査証料の相互免除に関するアメリカ合衆国政府と日本国政府との間の取極(千九百七十八年五月二十五日付けの同大使館発口上書及び同年五月三十日付けの外務省発口上書による改正を含む。)(以下「改正後の取極」という。)に言及するとともに、次のことがアメリカ合衆国政府の了解であることを申し述べる光栄を有する。

　The Embassy of the United States of America presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the honor to refer to the arrangement between the Government of the United States of America and the which became operative on September 22,1966,as amended by the Embassy's Note Verbale dated on May 25,1978,and the Ministry's Note Verbale dated May 30,1978 (hereinafter referred to as "the Arrangement as amended"), and to state that the following is the understanding of the Government of the United States of America.


1　アメリカ合衆国政府は、資格のある日本国民に対して相互主義に基づき非移民査証を発給するに当たつての条件に関する改正後の取極の(1)に掲げる表を次のとおり修正する。

1. 　大使館は、前記のことが日本国政府の了解でもあることを外務省が日本国政府に代わつて確認されることを要請する光栄を有する。大使館は、更に、この口上書及び日本国政府に代わつて前記のことを確認される同省の回答がその回答の日付の日から実施される両政府間の取極を構成するものとみなすことを提案する光栄を有する。


							

						

						

							

								
　The Embassy has honor to request that the Ministry confirm on behalf of the Government of Japan that the understanding set forth above is also the understanding of the Government of Japan. The Embassy has further the honor to propose that this Note Verbale and the Ministry's reply confirming the foregoing on behalf of the Government of Japan shall be regarded as constituting an agreement between the two governments which will become operative on the date of the Ministry's reply.
