オーストラリア大使館は、外務省に敬意を表するとともに、千九百八十年十一月二十六日付けのオーストラリアと日本国との間のワーキング・ホリデー制度に関する同大使館の口上書第二六六／八〇号に言及する光栄を有する。
The Australian Embassy presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the honour to refer to its Note Verbale No.266/80 dated 26 November 1980 regarding the arrangements for the working holiday between Australia and Japan.
大使館は、前記の制度の下においてオーストラリアの当局が査証申請者に対し適用する手続が一部変更されたことに伴い、前記の口上書の第四項を次のとおり変更することを通報する。
The Embassy wishes to advise that in view of slight changes in the procedures to be applied by the Australian Authorities to visa applicants under the said arrangements, paragraph 4 of the above-mentioned Note Verbale should now be replaced by the following:
オーストラリア政府は、1にいう査証を有する日本国民に対し、最初六箇月までの期間のオーストラリアにおける滞在許可を付与し、適当な場合には、六箇月までの延長を認める。その後の延長又は最初六箇月を超える期間の滞在許可の付与は、オーストラリア政府の権限ある当局の裁量による。
"The Government of Australia will grant Japanese Nationals who have the visa mentioned in paragraph 1 above permission to stay in Australia for an initial period of up to six(6) months and will also grant, where appropriate, an extension of up to six(6) months. Further extension, or longer initial period of permitted stay, will be subject to the discretion of the competent authorities of the Government of Australia."
オーストラリア大使館は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて外務省に向かつて敬意を表する。
The Embassy of Australia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the assurances of its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of Australia and has the honour to acknowledge the receipt of the latter's Note Verbale No.E273 dated 30 November 1982 concerning changes in the measures taken by the Government of Australia in connection with the arrangements for the working holiday.
