相互防衛援助協定第七条及び附属書Ｇに基づく資金の提供に関する日本国とアメリカ合衆国との間の交換公文

(Japanese Note)Translation Tokyo, July 26,1977
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本大臣は、千九百五十四年三月八日に東京で署名された日本国とアメリカ合衆国との間の相互防衛援助協定に言及する光栄を有します。
Excellency,I have the honor to refer to the Mutual Defense Assistance Agreement between Japan and the United States of America signed at Tokyo on March 8, 1954.
同協定第七条2は、日本国政府が、同協定の実施に関連するアメリカ合衆国政府の行政事務費及びこれに関連がある経費として、アメリカ合衆国政府に随時円資金を提供すべきことを定めています。
Article VII, paragraph 2 of the Agreement provides that the Government of Japan will make available, from time to time, to the Government of the United States of America funds in yen for the administrative and related expenses of the latter Government in connection with carrying out the Agreement.
また、同協定附属書G3は、日本国の毎会計年度において日本国政府が提供すべき金銭負担としての日本円の価額については、同政府が使用に供する金銭以外のものによる負担を考慮に入れた上、両政府の間で合意ずべきことを定めています。
Paragraph 3 of Annex G of the Agreement provides that, in consideration of the contributions in kind to be made available by the Government of Japan, the amount of yen to be made available as a cash contribution by the Government of Japan for any Japanese fiscal year shall be as agreed upon between the two Governments.
よつて、本大臣は、日本国の昭和五十二会計年度における前記の金銭負担の額に関し、次の取極を日本国政府に代わつて提案する光栄を有します。
Accordingly, I have the honor to propose on behalf of the Government of Japan the following arrangements concerning the amount of the can contribution referred to above for the Japanese fiscal year 1977:
昭和五十二年四月一日から昭和五十三年三月三十一日までの日本国の会計年度において日本国政府が提供すべき金銭負担の額は、同年度に同政府が使用に供する金銭以外のものによる負担を考慮に入れて、八千二百六十二万一千円(八二、六二一、〇〇〇円)を超えないものとする。
In consideration of the contributions in kind to be made available by the Government of Japan during the Japanese fiscal year from April 1, 1977 to March 31, 1978, the amount of the cash contribution to be made available by the Government of Japan for the said fiscal year shall not exceed eighty-two mi1lion six hundred and twenty one thousand yen (Y82, 621,000).
本大臣は、更に、この書簡及びアメリカ合衆国政府に代わつて前記の取極を確認される閣下の返簡が両政府間の合意を構成するものとみなし、その合意が閣下の返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを提案する光栄を有します。
I have further the honor to propose that the present Note and Your Excellency's Note in reply confirming on behalf of the Government of the United States of America the foregoing arrangements sha11 be regarded constituting an agreement between the two Governments, which wi11 enter into force the date of Your Excellency Is rep1y.

本使は、更に、アメリカ合衆国政府に代わつて前記の取極を確認するとともに、閣下の書簡及びこの返簡が両政府間の合意を構成するものとみなし、その合意がこの返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることに同意する光栄を有します。
I have further the honor to confirm on be- half of the Government of the United States of America the foregoing arrangements and to agree that Your Excellency' s Note and this Note shall be regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments, which wi11 enter into force on the date of this reply.
