一部査証の相互免除に関する日本国政府とグァテマラ共和国政府との間の取極(口上書)

日本国大使館は、外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、日本国とグァテマラ共和国との間の旅行並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために、日本国に入国することを希望するグァテマラ国民に対する査証の免除に関し、千九百七十六年一月一日から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとる用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the honour to inform the Ministry that the Government of Japan, with a view to facilitating travel as well as cultural and commercial relations between Japan and the Republic of Guatemala, is prepared to take on a reciprocal basis the following measures from the 1st of January, l976 concerning the waiving of visas for Guatemalan nationals wishing to enter Japan:
(1) 有効なグァテマラ旅券を所持するグァテマラ国民であつて、継続して三箇月を超えない期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、日本国に入国することができる。
(1) Guatemalan nationals in possession of a valid Guatemalan passport who wish to enter Japan with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、グァテマラ国民であつて、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み、報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事し、又は継続して三箇月を超える期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものについては、適用しない。
(2) The waiver of the visa requirement under paragraph (1) above shall not apply to Guatemalan nationals who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes or with the intention of staying there for a period exceeding three consecutive months.
(3) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するグァテマラ国民に対し、外国人に関する入国、滞在、居住、出国及びその他の事項に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
(3) The waiver of the visa requirement under paragraph (1) above does not exempt Guatemalan nationals entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the Japanese laws and regulations concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit and other matters relating to aliens.
(4) 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるグァテマラ国民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
(4) The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse the entry into or stay in Japan to Guatemalan nationals considered undesirable.
(5) 日本国政府は、書面による二箇月の予告をもつて、前記の諸規定を終了させることができる。
(5) The Government of Japan may terminate the foregoing by giving two months' written notice.

外務省は、日本国大使館に敬意を表するとともに、グァテマラ共和国政府が、グァテマラ共和国と日本国との間の旅行並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために、グァテマラ共和国に入国することを希望する日本国民に対する査証の免除に関し、千九百七十六年一月一日から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとる用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of Japan and has the honour to inform the Embassy that the Government of the Republic of Guatemala, with a view to facilitating travel as well as cultural and commercial relations between the Republic of Guatemala and Japan, is prepared to take on a reciprocal basis the following measures from the 1st of January, 1976 concerning the waiving of visas for Japanese nationals wishing to enter the Republic of Guatemala:
(1) 有効な日本国旅券を所持する日本国民であつて、継続して三箇月を超えない期間滞在する意図をもつてグァテマラ共和国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、グァテマラ共和国に入国することができる。
(1) Japanese nationals in possession of a valid Japanese passport who wish to enter the Republic of Guatemala with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months may enter the Republic of Guatemala without obtaining a visa.
