日本国の漁船のオーストラリアの港への寄港に関する日本国政府とオーストラリア政府との間の交換公文

(Australian Note) Canberra, 27 November, 1975
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本大臣は、最近キャンベラにおいてオーストラリア政府の代表者と日本国政府の代表者との間で漁業の問題について行われた協議に関し、次のことがオーストラリア政府の了解であることを申し述べる光栄を有します。
Excellency,With reference to the consultations held recently in Canberra between the representatives of the government of Australia and the Government of Japan on fisheries matters, I have the honour to state that the following is the understanding of the Government of Australia:
１ オーストラリア政府は、まぐろ漁業産業へのオーストラリアの参加に対する日本の援助の実行可能性につき検討することを日本国政府が引き受けたことを考慮して、まぐろはえなわ漁業の装備を有する日本国の船舶が、暫定的に千九百七十五年十一月二十八日から千九百七十六年十一月二十七日までの一年の期間、補給の目的で、千九百六十八年十一月二十七日に両国の間で署名された漁業に関する協定第六条1に定めるオーストラリアの港に入ることを認める。
1. In consideration of the undertaking of the Government of Japan to examine the feasibility of Japanese assistance to Australian participation in the tuna fishing industry, the Government of Australia will permit provisionally for a period of one year from 28 November, 1975, to 27 November, 1976, Japanese vessels equipped for tuna long-line fishing to enter the Australian ports referred to in paragraph 1 of Article VI of the Agreement on Fisheries signed on 27 November, 1968, between the two countries, for the purpose of securing supplies.
2 両政府は、千九百七十六年五月二十七日までに、まぐろはえなわ漁業の装備を有する日本国の船舶が千九百七十六年十一月二十七日後においてオーストラリアの港に引き続き出入することに関し及びまぐろ漁業産業へのオーストラリアの参加に対する日本の援助の提案に関して、相互に協議する。
2. Both Governments will consult with each other not later than 27 May, 1976, with respect to the continued access after 27 November, 1976, to Australian ports of Japanese vessels equipped for tuna long-line fishing and with respect to proposals for Japanese assistance to Australian participation in the tuna fishing industry.
本大臣は、更に、閣下が前記のことを日本国政府に代わつて確認されるよう要請する光栄を有します。
I have further the honour to request Your Excellency to be good enough to confirm the foregoing on behalf of the Government of Japan.
