航空業務に関する日本国とイタリアとの間の協定の附表の修正に関する交換公文

(Japanese Note)

　Rome, August 24, 1973

　書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本使は千九百六十二年一月三十一日に東京で署名された航空業務に関する日本国とイタリアとの間の協定及び千九百七十二年九月六日から八日までの間東京において行なわれた日本国及びイタリアの航空当局間の協議に言及する光栄を有します。
本使は前記の協議において到達した合意に従い、千九百七十年二月十日及び同年三月二十四日付けの交換公文により修正された協定の附表について次の修正を行なうことを提案する光栄を有します。

　Excellency,
I have the honour to refer to the Agreement between Japan and Italy for Air Services signed at Tokyo on January 31st, 1962, and to the consultations between the aeronautical authorities of both countries, which were held in Tokyo from September 6 to September 8, l972.Pursuant to an agreement reached at the said consultations, I have the honour to propose that the following amendments be made to the Route Schedule of the Agreement as amended by the Exchanges of Notes of February 10, 1970, and March 24, 1970.

1　協定附表に次の路線(c)を追加する。

1. The following routes (c)　shall be added to the Schedule of the agreement:

　日本側路線

　for Japan:

　(c)両方向に、日本国内の地点一今後合意される一地点一モスクワ一フランクフルト・アム・マイン一ローマ

　(c) Points in Japan - a point to be agreed upon later - Moscow - Frankfurt am Main - Rome, and vice versa.

　イタリア側路線

　for Italy:

　(c)両方向に、イタリア内の地点一フランクフルト・アム・マイン一モスクワ一今後合意される一地点一東京

　(c) Points in Italy - Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - a point to be agreed upon later - Tokyo, and vice versa.

2　日本側路線(a)、(b)及び(c)に次の以遠路線を追加する。

2. The following beyond routes shall be added to the Japanese routes (a), (b) and (c).

(i) 「北米の三地点(注1)」

(i) "three points in North America (Note 1)".

(ii)　「アフリカの二地点(注2)中南米の二地点(注3)」

(ii)　"two points in Africa (Note 2) two points in Central and South America (Note 3)".

注1　カナダについては一地点をこえて使用することはできない。

Note 1. More than one point in Canada cannot be used.

注2　「アフリカ内の二地点」はカルツームとドゥアラを結ぶ線以北とする。

Note 2. "two points in Africa"　shall be in the north of the line connecting Khartoum and Douala.

注3　ヴェネズエラ及びメキシコ内の地点を含まない。

Note 3. Any point in Venezuela and Mexico shall not be included.

　本使は、前記の提案がイタリア政府にとつて受諾しうるものであるときは、この書簡及びその旨の閣下の返簡をこの間題に関する両国政府間の合意を構成するものとみなし、その合意が閣下の返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを提案する光栄を有します。

　If the above proposal is acceptable to the Government of Italy, I have the honour to suggest that this Note and Your Excellency's reply in that sense shall be regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments in this matter, which will enter into force on the date of Your Excellency's reply.

　本使は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて閣下に向かつて敬意を表します。

　I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.

(Italian Note)

　Rome,August 24,1973

　書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本大臣は、本日付けの閣下の次の書簡を受領したことを確認する光栄を有します。

　Excellency,I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's Note of today's date, which reads as follows:

　本大臣は、イタリア政府が日本国政府の前記の提案を受諾する旨を閣下に通報するとともに、閣下の書簡及びこの返簡をこの問題に関する両国政府間の合意を構成するものとみなし、その合意が本日効力を生ずることを確認する光栄を有します。

　I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the Government of Italy accepts the above proposal of the Government of Japan and to confirm that Your Excellency's Note and this reply are regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments in this matter, which will enter into force on the date of this reply.

　本大臣は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて閣下に向かつて敬意を表します。

　I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.
