書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本使は、日本国政府及びイラン帝国政府の代表者の間で最近行なわれた討議に言及し、かつ、千九百六十八年六月二十三日にテヘランで署名された日本国政府とイラン帝国政府との間の貿易協定(千九百六十九年七月十二日にテヘランで交換された書簡により千九百六十九年六月二十三日から千九百七十年六月二十二日まで一年間延長され、千九百七十一年二月十四日にテヘランで交換された書簡により千九百七十年六月二十三日から千九百七十一年六月二十二日まで一年間延長され、さらに、千九百七十二年四月二十五日にテヘランで交換された書簡により千九百七十一年六月二十三日から千九百七十二年六月二十二日まで延長されたもの)をその第六条の規定にもかかわらず十千九百七十二年六月二十三日から千九百七十三年六月二十二日までさらに一年間延長することとする旨の了解を日本国政府に代わつて確認する光栄を有します。
Excellency, I have the honour to refer to the discussions which have recently taken place between the representatives of the Government of Japan and the Imperial Government of Iran and to confirm, on behalf of my Government, the understanding that the Trade Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Imperial Government of Iran signed at Tehran on June 23rd, 1968, which was extended for a period of one year from June 23rd, 1969, to June 22nd, 1970, by the notes exchanged at Tehran on July 12th, 1969 and extended for a period of one year from June 23rd, 1970 to June 22nd, 1971, by the notes exchanged at Tehran on February 14th, 1971, and further extended for a period of one year from June 23rd, 1971 to June 22nd, 1972, by the notes exchanged at Tehran on April 25th, 1972, shall be extended for a further period of one year from June 23rd, 1972 to June 22nd, 1973, notwithstanding the provisions of Article VI of the above-mentioned Agreement.
本使は、貴官が前記の了解をイラン帝国政府に代わつて確認されれば幸いであります。

書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本日千九百七十二年六月二十三日から千九百七十三年六月二十二日まで一年間延長された日本国政府とイラン帝国政府との間の貿易協定に関し、本使は、両国間の経済関係を一層拡大するため随時閣僚レベルの協議が行なわれることが望ましいことを確認する光栄を有します。
Excellency, With reference to the Trade Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Imperial Government of Iran extended today for a period of one year from June 23rd, 1972 to June 22nd, 1973, I have the honour to confirm, on behalf of my Government, that in order to further expand economic relations between the two countries, it is desirable to have consultations on a ministerial level from time to time.
