Tokyo, September 28, 1973
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本大臣は、千九百五十五年十一月二十六日にニュー・デリーで署名された航空業務に関する日本国とインドとの間の協定第十三条の規定に従つて千九百七十年七月十六日から二十二日までの間東京において両締約国の航空当局の間で行なわれた協議に言及する光栄を有します。
Excellency, I have the honour to refer to the consultations which took place in Tokyo from 16 to 22 July, 1970 between the aeronautical authorities of both Contracting Parties in accordance with Article 13 of the Agreement between Japan and India for Air Services, signed at New Delhi on November 26, l955.
本大臣は、前記の協議において到達した合意に従い、この書簡に同封する修正された附表が同協定の附表に代わるべきことを提案する光栄を有します。
Pursuant to an agreement reached at the above consultations I now have the honour to propose that the Schedule to the Agreement should be replaced by the revised Schedule set out in the enclosure to this Note.
本大臣は、前記の提案がインド政府にとつて受諾しうるものであるときは、この書簡(同封物を含む。)及びこれに対する閣下の返簡をこの問題に関する両国政府間の合意を構成するものとみなし、その合意が閣下の返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを提案いたします。
If the above Proposal is acceptable to the Government of India, it is suggested that this Note with its enclosure and Your Excellency's reply there to should be regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments in this matter which shall enter into force on the date of Your Excellency's reply.

両方向に、東京―大阪―福岡―那覇―台湾における地点―香港及び(又は)フィリピン内の地点―インド・シナ内の地点―タイ内の一地点、マレイシア内の地点及び(又は)シンガポール―ビルマ内の一地点―バングラデシュ内の一地点―スリ・ランカ内の地点―デリー／ボンベイ及び、希望するときは、以遠の地点
Tokyo - Osaka - Fukuoka. - Naha - points on the island of Formosa - Hong Kong and/or points in the Philippines - points in Indo-China - a point in Thailand and/or points in Malaysia and/or Singapore - a point in Burma - a point in Bangladesh - points in Sri Lanka - Delhi/Bombay and, if desired, points beyond, in both directions.
日本国の指定航空企業が前記の路線において行なう協定業務は、日本国の領域内の一地点を起点とするものでなければならない。ただし、その路線上の他の地点は、いずれかの又はすべての飛行に当たつて、その指定航空企業の選択により省略することができる。
The agreed services provided by the designated airline of Japan on this route shall begin at a point in the territory of Japan, but other points on the route may at the option of the designated airline be omitted on any or all flights.

両方向に、インド内の地点―バングラデシュ内の一地点―ビルマ内の一地点―シンガポール、マレイシア内の地点及び(又は)タイ内の一地点―インド・シナ内の地点―香港―東アジア及び東南アジアのその他の地点(＊)―那覇―大阪―東京及び、希望するときは、以遠の地点
Points in India - a point in Bangladesh - a point in Burma - Singapore and/or points in Malaysia and/or a Point in Thailand - points in Indo-China - Hong Kong - other points in East Asia and Southeast Asia (* ) - Naha - Osaka - Tokyo and, if desired, points beyond, in both directions.
(＊) 北緯十四度と北緯二十五度三十分との間で東経百二十度と東経百二十二度との間の地点に限る。
(*) Limited to the points located between 14 N and 25 30'N, and between 120 E and l22 E
インドの指定航空企業が前記の路線において行なう協定業駕は、インドの領域内の一地点を起点とするものでなければないない。ただし、その路線上の地点は、いずれかの又はすべての飛行に当たつて、その指定航空企業の選択により省略することができる。

I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the above proposal is acceptable to the Government of India and to confirm that Your Excellency's Note and this reply are regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments in this matter which shall enter into force on the date of this reply.

書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本大臣は、航空業務に関する協定の附表の修正に関して日本国とインドとの間で交換された書簡に関し、千九百五十五年十一月二十六日に交換された日本側の路線における「カルカッタ／デリー」についての了解に関する書簡中の「カルカッタ／デリー」及び「カルカッタ」がそれぞれ「デリー／ボンベイ」及び「ボンベイ」に代わるベきことを提案する光栄を有します。
Excellency, With reference to the Notes exchanged between Japan and India on the revision of the Schedule to the Agreement for Air Services, I have the honour to propose that the phrase "Calcutta/Delhi" and the word "Calcutta" which appear in the Notes exchanged on November 26, 1955 between the two Governments concerning the understanding of the phrase "Calcutta/Delhi" in the Japanese route should be replaced by the phrase "Delhi/Bombay" and the word "Bombay" respectively.
さらに、本大臣は、閣下が前記のことがインド政府の了解でもあることを貴国政府に代わつて確認されることを要請する光栄を有します。
I have further the honour to request Your Excellency to be good enough to confirm on behalf of your Government that this is also the understanding of the Government of India.
