日本国大使館は、サイプラス共和国外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、日本国とサイプラス共和国との間の観光並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために、日本国に入国することを希望するサイプラス市民に対する査証及び査証料の免除に関し、別途の公文によりサイプラス共和国政府に通報される日付から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとることを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ofthe Republic of Cyprus and has the honour toinform the latter that the Government of Japan,with a view to facilitating the tourism aswell as the cultural and eommercial relationsbetween Japan and the Republic of Cyprus,will take, on a reciprocal basls, the following measures concerning the waiving of visasand visa fees for the Cypriot citizens seeking entry to Japan, from such date as may be notified to the Government of the Republic of Cyprus by a separate Note.
(1) 有効なサイプラス旅券を所持するサイプラス市民であつて、継続して三箇月をこえない期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、日本国に入国することができる。
(l) The Cypriot citizens in possession of valid Cypriot passports who are seeking entry to Japan with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months) may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) 日本国政府は、(1)の規定に基づいて査証なしに日本国に入国したサイプラス市民であつて、滞在期間を三箇月をこえて延長することを希望するものの・滞在期間の延長を許可することができる。
(2) The Government of Japan may grant extensions of the period of stay to the Cypriot citizens who, having entered Japan without a visa under paragraph (1) above, desire to extend the period of stay beyond three months.
(3) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、サイプラス市民てあつて、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み、報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事し、又は継続して三箇月をこえる期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものについては、適用しない。
(3) The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph (1) above shall not apply to the Cypriot citizens who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in a public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes or with the intention of staying there for a period exceeding three consecutive months.
(4) 査証が必要とされ、かつ、付与されるときは、日本国の権限のある外交及び領事当局は、その査証についていかなる手数料をも徴収しない。
(4) For visas, when required and granted, the competent Japanese diplomatic and consular authorities will not charge any fees.
(5) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するサイプラス市民に対し、外国人の入国、滞在、居住、出国その他の管理に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
(5) The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph (1) above does not exempt the Cypriot citizens entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the Japanese laws and regulations concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit and other control of aliens.
(6) 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるサイプラス市民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
(6) The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse entry into or stay in Japan to the Cypriot citizens considered undesirable.
(7) 日本国政府は、前記のことを終了させることを希望する場合には、書面による二箇月の予告を与える。
(7) The Government of Japan, in case it wishes to terminate the foregoing, will give two months' written notice.

サイプラス共和国外務省は、日本国大使館に敬意を表するとともに、サイプラス共和国政府が、サイプラス共和国と日本国との間の観光並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために、サイプラス共和国に入国することを希望する日本国民に対する査証及び査証料の免除に関し、別途の公文により日本国政府に通報される日付から相互主義に基づき、次の措置をとることを同大使館に通報する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus presents its compliments to the Embassy of Japan and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, with a view to facilitating the tourism as well as the cultural and commercial relations between the Republic of Cyprus and Japan, will take, on a reciprocal basis, the following measures concerning the waiving of visas and visa fees for the Japanese nationals seeking entry to the Bepublic of Cyprus, from such date as may be notified to the Government of Japan by a separate Note.
(1) 有効な日本国旅券を所持する日本国民であつて、継続して三箇月をこえない期間滞在する意図をもつてサイプラス共和国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、サイプラス共和国に入国することができる。
(1) The Japanese nationals in possession of valid Japanese passports who are seeking entry to the Republic of Cyprus with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months, may enter the Republic of Cyprus without obtaining a visa.
(2) サイプラス共和国政府は、(1)の規定に基づいて査証なしにサイプラス共和国に入国した日本国民であつて、滞在期間を三箇月をこえて延長することを希望するものの滞在期間の延長を許可することができる。
