一部旅券査証及び査証料の相互免除に関する日本国政府とバングラデシュ人民共和国政府との間の取極（口上書）

日本国大使館は、バングラデシュ人民共和国外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、日本国とバングラデシュとの間の観光並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために、日本国に入国することを希望するバングラデシュ国民に対する査証及び査証料の免除に関し、千九百七十三年八月二十日から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとる用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Japan, with a view to facilitating tourism as well as cultural and commercial relations between Japan and Bangladesh, is prepared to take on a reciproca1 basis the following measures from August 20, l973 concerning the waiving of visas and visa fees for Bangladesh nationals seeking entry into Japan:
(1) 有効なバングラデシュ旅券を所持するバングラデシュ国民であつて、継続して三箇月をこえない期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、日本国に入国することができる。
(l) Bangladesh nationals in possession of valid Bangladesh passports who are seeking entry into Japan with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) 日本国政府は、(1)の規定に基づいて査証なしに日本国に入国したバングラデシュ国民であつて、滞在期間を三箇月をこえて延長することを希望するものの滞在期間の延長を許可することができる。
(2) The Government of Japan may grant extensions of the period of stay to Bangladesh nationals who, having entered Japan without a visa under paragraph (l) above, desire to extend the period of stay beyond three months.
(3) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、バングラデシュ国民であつて、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み、報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事し、又は継続して三箇月をこえる期間滞在する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するものについては、適用しない。
(3) The waiver of the visa requirement under paragraph (l) above shall not apply to Bangladesh nationals who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in pub1ic entertainment (inc1uding sport) for remunerative purposes or with the intention of staying there for a period exceeding three consecutive months.
(4) 査証が必要とされ、かつ、付与されるときは、日本国の権限のある外交及び領事当局は、その査証についていかなる手数料をも微収しない。
(4) For visas, when required and granted, the competent Japanese diplomatic and consular authorities wil1 not charge any fees.
(5) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するバングラデシュ国民に対し、外国人の入国、滞在、居住、出国その他の管理に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
(5) The waiver of the visa, requirement under paragraph (l) above does not exempt Bangladesh nationals entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the Japanese laws and regulations concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit and other control of aliens.
(6) 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるバングラデシュ国民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
(6) The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse the entry into or stay in Japan to Bangladesh nationals considered undesirable.
(7) 日本国政府は、書面による一箇月の予告をもつて前記の諸規定を終了させることができる。
(7) The Government of Japan may terminate the foregoing by giving one month's written notice.
日本国大使館は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねてバングラデシュ人民共和国外務省に向かつて敬意を表する。
The Embassy of Japan avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh the assurances of its highest consideration.
