日本国とオーストリアとの間の貿易に関する交換公文

(Austrian Letter)
Vienna, 19 December, 1973
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本官は、オーストリア政府に代表者と日本国政府の代表者との間でウィーンにおいて最近行われた会談に言及し、同会談の結果到達した次の了解を確認する光栄を有します。
Sir, I have the honour to refer to the discussions which have recently taken place in Vienna between the representatives of the Austrian and Japanese Governments and to confirm the following understanding reached as a result of the discussions:
(1) 千九百七十四年十二月三十一日までの間、オーストリア政府と日本国との間の貿易関係は、千九百六十六年十一月四日付の交換公文に盛られた取極(千九百七十年十二月二十三日付けの交換公文により改訂された「オーストリア輸入品目表」を含む。)の規定に基づいて引き続き規律される。
(1) Until 31 December, 1974, the trade relations between Austria 8nd Japan shall continue to be regulated on the basis of the provisions of the arrangement embodied in the letters exchanged on 4 November, 1966, including the "Austrian import List ", as amended by the letters exchanged on 23 December, 1970.
(2) オーストリア通商産業省は、オーストリアによる関税及び貿易に関する一般協定第三十五条の日本国に対する適用を撤回することを目的として、できる限り速やかに日本国政府と交渉することを合意する。
(2) The Federal Ministry for Trade and Industry of Austria agrees to enter as soon as possible into negotiation with the Japanese Government with the objective of withdrawing the application of Article XXXV of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade towards Japan by Austria.
本官は、貴官が前記のことを貴国政府に代わつて確認されれぱ幸いであります。
I shall be grateful, if you would confirm the foregoing on behalf of your Government.
