日本国とオーストリアとの間の貿易に関する交換公文

Australian Letter
Vienna, 27 December, 1972
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本官は、オーストリア政府の代表者と日本国政府の代表者との間でウィーンにおいて最近行なわれた会談に言及し、同会談の結果到達した次の了解を確認する光栄を有します。
Sir,I have the honour to refer to the discussion which have recently taken place in Vienna between the representatives of the Austrian and Japanese Governments and to confirm the following understanding reached as a result to the discussions:
(1) 千九百七十三年十二月三十一日までの間、オーストリアと日本国との間の貿易関係は、千九百六十六年十一月四日付けの交換公文に盛られた取極(千九百七十年十二月二十三日付けの交換公文により改訂された「オーストリア輸入品目表」を含む。)の規定に基づいて引き続き規律される。
(1) Until 31,December, 1973,the trade relations between the Austria and Japan shall continue to be regulated on the basis of the provisions of the arrangement embodied in the letters exchanged on 4 November, 1966, including the "Austrian Import List", as amended by the letters exchanged on 23 December, 1970.
(2) オーストリア通商産業省は、オーストリアによる関税及び貿易に関する一般協定第三十五条の日本国に対する適用を撤回することを目的として、できる限りすみやかに日本国政府と交渉することに同意する。
(2) The Federal Ministry for Trade and Industry of Australia agree to enter as soon as possible into negotiations with the Japanese Government with the objective of withdrawing the application of Article XXXV of the General Agreement on Tariffs and trade towards Japan by Austria.
本官は、貴官が前記のことを貴国政府に代わつて確認されれば幸いであります。
I shall be grateful, if you would confirm the foregoing on behalf of your Government.
