一部旅券査証の相互免除に関する日本国政府とチリ政府との間の取極

チリ大使館は,日本国外務省に敬意を表するとともに,チリ政府が,チリと日本国との間の旅行並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するために,チリに入国することを希望する日本国民に対する査証の免除に関し,千九百六十九年十一月十五日から相互主義に基づき次の措置を執る用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Chile presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Chile, with a view to facilitating the tourism and the cultural and commercial relations between Chile and Japan, is prepared to take. on a reciprocal basis, the following measures from the 15th of November, 1969, concerning the waiving of visas for the Japanese nationals seeking entry to Chile:
(1) 有効な日本国旅券を所持する日本国民であつて,継続して三箇月をこえない期間滞在する意図をもつてチリに入国することを希望するものは,査証を取得することなく,チリに入国することができる。
(1) The Japanese nationals in possession of valid Japanese passports who are seeking entry to Chile with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding three consecutive months, may enter Chile without obtaining visa,
(2) チリ政府は,(1)の規定に基づいて査証なしにチリに入国した日本国民であつて,滞在期間を三箇月をこえて延長することを希望するものの滞在期間の延長を許可することができる.
(2) The Government of Chile may grant extensions of the period of stay to the Japanese nationals who, having entered Chile without visas under paragraph (1) above, desire to extend the period of stay beyond three months.
(3) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は,日本国民であつて,就職し,永住し,自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み,報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む.)に従事し,又は継続して三箇月をこえる期間滞在する意図をもつてチリに入国することを希望するものについては,適用しない.
(3) The waiver of visa requirements under paragraph (1) above shall not apply to the Japanese, nationals who desire to enter Chile with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in a public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes or with the intention of staying there, for a period exceeding three consecutive months
(4) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、チリに入国する日本国民に対し,外国人の入国,滞在,居住･出国その他の管理に関するチリの法令に関することを免除するものではない.
(4) The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph (1) above does not exempt the Japanese nationals entering Chile from the necessity of complying with the Chilean laws and regulations concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit and other controls of aliens.
(5) チリ政府は,好ましくないと認める日本国民に対し･チリに入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
(5) The Government of Chile reserves the right to refuse entry into or stay in Chile to the Japanese nationals considered undesirable.
(6) チリ政府は,書面による一箇月の予告をもつて,前記の諸規定を終了させることができる。
(6) The Government of Chile may terminate the foregoing by giving one month written notice.
チリ大使館は,以上を申し進めるに際し,ここに重ねて外務省に向かつて敬意を表する。
The Embassy of Chile avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the assurance of its highest consideration.
