数次査証の付与及び査証料の免除に関する日本国政府とオーストラリア連邦政府との間の取極(口上書)
口上書 日本国大使館は、外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、オーストラリア市民の日本国への入国に関し、一九六九年二月十日から相互主義に基づき、次の措置を執ることを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
NOTE VERBALE The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Department of External Affairs and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Japan will take on a reciprocal basis from the 10th of February, 1969, the following measures with respect to the entry of Australian citizens into Japan:
(1) 日本国に入国することを希望するオーストラリア市民が日本国の関係法令に基づき必要とする査証は、付与されるときは、無料で発給される。
(1) Visas which Australian citizens desiring to enter Japan require under relevant laws and regulations of Japan will, when granted, be issued free of charge.
(a) 次に掲げる種別のいずれかに属するオーストラリア市民に関しては、査証は、その発給の日から四年の間いかなる回数の入国についても有効とする。
(a) With respect to the Australian citizens falling under any of the classes enumerated below, visas will by valid for any number of entries during a period of four years from the date of issue of such visas.
(i) 大使その他の外交官又は領事官及びその近親家族
(i) Ambassador and other diplomatic or consular officer, and members of immediate family.
(ii) その他の政府の公務員又は被用者及びその近親家族
(ii) Other governmental official or employee, and members of immediate family.
(iii) (i)及び(ii)に属する者に随行する召使又は個人的使用人
(iii) Servant of personal employee accompanying persons in (i) and (ii).
(iv) 日本国に赴任する会社の代表者又は役員及びその近親家族
(iv) Representative or executive of a company assuming post in Japan, and members of immediate family.
(v) 商用訪問者
(v) Business visitor.
(b) 日本国の関係法令に基づき観光又は通過のため日本国に入国することを希望するオーストラリア市民に関しては、査証は、その発給の日から一年の間いかなる回数の入国についても有効とする。
(b) With respect to Australian citizens who desire to enter Japan for tourism or for transit under relevant laws and regulations of Japan, visas will be valid for any number of entries during a period of one year from the date of issue of such visas.
(2) (1)の規定は、日本国政府が個個の場合において、制限された回数の入国について有効な又は(1)の(a)及び(b)に定める期間より短い期間について有効な査証を発給することを排除するものと解してはならない。かかる査証は、付与されるときは、無料で発給される。
(2) Nothing in the preceding paragraph shall be construed as precluding the Government of Japan from issuing visas valid for limited number of entries or for a period less than those prescribed in sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph (l) in particular cases. Such visas will, when granted, be issued free of charge.
(3) 日本国政府は、前記のことを終了させることを希望する場合には、オーストラリア連邦政府に対し、書面による三箇月の予告を与えるものとする。
(3) The Government of Japan, in case it wishes to terminate the foregoing, will give three months written notice to the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia.
日本国大使館は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて外務省に向かつて敬意を表する。
The Embassy of Japan avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Department of External Affairs the assurances of its highest consideration.
