The Hague, July 22, 1966.
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。本官は、日本国政府及びべネルックス諸国の政府の代表が千九百六十五年十二月九日から千九百六十六年四月二十九日までへーグで行なわれた貿易に関する協議において、次の了解に到達したことを確認する光栄を有します。
Mr. Chairman, I have the honour to confirm that the representatives of the Governments of Japan and of the Benelux countries have reached the following understanding at the trade consultations held at The Hague from December 9, 1965 till April 29 1966:
1 ベネルックス諸国の政府は、附属Iに掲げる産品の日本国からの輸入を自由化する。
1. The Governments of the Benelux countries will liberalize the importation from Japan of the products enumerated in Annex I.
2 ベネルックス諸国の政府は、ベネルックス諸国のヨーロッパ地域への日本国からの輸入に対する千九百六十六年の割当てを附属IIに掲げるとおり設定する。
2. The Governments of the Benelux countries will establish the quotas for 1966 for the imports from Japan into the European territories of the Benelux countries as specified in Annex II
貴官が前記の事頂を確認されれば幸いであります。
It will be appreciated if you will be good enough to confirm the foregoing.
本官は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに貴官に向かつて敬意を表します。

(2) It is understood that, since the importation of goods to be reexported from, or exported after having been processed in, the Benelux countries shall be free such importation shall not be counted in the above quotas.
