オーストリア公使館は、日本国外務省に対し敬意を表するとともに、次のとおり同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Austrian Legation conveys its compliments to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan and has the honour to notify the latter of the following:
千九百五十五年十月二十六日に、オーストリア議会は、オーストリアの永世中立に関する憲法法規を可決した。この法規は、千九百五十五年十一月五日に発効したが、その内容は次のとおりである。
On October 26th. 1955 the Austrian Parliament has passed the constitutional law concerning the neutrality of Austria. This law has entered into force on November 5th, 1955 and has the following wording:
第一条
"Article I.
(1) 外に対し常に独立を確保するため及び自国領士を侵されないため、オーストリアは、ここに自由意志をもつて永世中立を宣言する。オーストリアは、一切の手段を挙げて永世中立を維持し、かつ、擁護せんとする。
(1) For the purpose of the lasting maintainance of her independence externally, and for the purpose of the inviolability of her territory, Austria declares of her own free will her perpetual neutrality. Austria will maintain and defend this with all means at her disposal.
(2) 将来にわたりこの目的を確保するため、オーストリアは、いかなる軍事同盟にも加入せず、またその領土内にいかなる外国の軍事基地の設置をも許さない。
(2) For the securing of this purpose in all future times Austria will not join any military alliances and will not permit the establishment of any foreign military bases on her territory.
第二条
Article II.
この連邦憲法法規を執行することは、連邦政府の責任である。
The Federal Government is charged with the execution of this Federal Constitutional Law."

この憲法法規を日本国政府に通告するに際し、オーストリア連邦政府は、日本国政府が前記の法規に定められたオーストリアの永世中立を承認されるよう要請する光栄を有する。
In bringing this constitutional law to the knowledge of the Government of Japan the Austrian Federal Government has the honour to request that the Government of Japan recognize the perpetual neutrality of Austria as defined in the aforementioned law.
オーストリア公使館は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて外務省に対して敬意を表する。
The Austrian Legation takes this opportunity to renew to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs the assurances of its highest consideration.

外務省は、在本邦オーストリア公使館に対し敬意を表するとともに、同公使館が次のとおり通報越された昭和三十年十一月十四日付同公使館発口上書第二一八三号を受領したことを確認する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Legation of Austria in Japan and has the honour to acknowledge the receipt of the Latter's Note Verbale NO.2183-A/55 dated November 14, 1955 reading as follows:
『オーストリア公使館は、日本国外務省に対し敬意を表するとともに、次のとおり同省に通報する光栄を有する。
"The Austrian Legation conveys its compliments to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan and has the honour to notify the latter of the following:
千九百五十五年十月二十六日に、オーストリア議会は、オーストリアの中立に関する憲法法規を可決した。この法規は、千九百五十五年十一月五日に発効したが、その内容は次のとおりである。

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the honour to inform the Legation of Austria that the Government of Japan hereby recognizes the perpetual neutrality of Austria as defined in the aforementioned Federal Constitutional Law of Austria.
