EXCHANGE OF NOTES CONCERNING THE CONDITIONS TO REMOVE MEASURES PROHIBITING THE IMPORTATION FROM ARGENTINA OF CURED MEATS OF RUMINANTS AND SWINE
外務大臣からアルゼンティン共和国外務宗務大臣にあてた書簡
Tokyo, December 20, l961
書簡をもつて啓上いたします。日本国政府とアルゼンティン共和国政府との間の動物衛生協定を締結するに際して、本大臣は、両政府の代表者の間で到達した次の了解を記録にとどめる光栄を有します。
Excellency: On the occasion of concluding the Zoosanitary Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Argentine Republic, I have the honour to place on record the following understanding reached between the representatives of the two Governments:
アルゼンティンの反芻動物及び豚の塩蔵肉(キュアード・ミート)については、口蹄疫のヴィールスのないことが国際的に認められるとともに日本国政府の権限のある機関によつても十分に認められる場合には、日本国政府は、現行の輸入禁止措置を解除する意図を有する。
With respect to cured meats of ruminants and swine of Argentina, if it is proved internationally and also fully proved by the competent agency of the Government of Japan that they are not contaminated by virus of foot-and-mouth disease, the Government of Japan intends to remove its present import prohibition measures.
本大臣は、閣下が、両政府の代表者の間で到達した了解がこの書簡に正確に記されていることを確認されれば幸いであります。
I should be grateful if Your Excellency would confirm that the understanding reached between the representatives of the two Governments is correctly set out above.
