日本国大使館は、チェッコ共和国外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、査証の要件の免除に関し、相互主義に基づき、千九百九十六年四月二十三日から次の措置をとる用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Japan is prepared to take, on a reciprocal basis, the following measures from April 23, 1996 concerning the waiver of visa requirements:
1 チェッコ国民であって、チェッコ共和国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持しチェッコ共和国政府の外交若しくは領事の任務又は公用の用務の目的で日本国に入国することを希望するもの及びそのような旅券を所持し当該チェッコ国民の家族の構成員でその世帯に属するものは、その滞在期間のいかんを問わず、査証を取得することなく日本国に入国することができる。
1. Czech nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or service passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic who are seeking entry into Japan for the purpose of exercising diplomatic or consular functions, or official duties of the Government of the Czech Republic and such nationals in possessions of the said passports who are the members of their families forming part of their respective households, may enter Japan without obtaining a visa irrespective of the duration of stay in Japan.
2 (1) チェッコ共和国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持するチェッコ国民であって、1にいう目的以外の目的で継続して九十日を超えない期間滞在する意図をもって日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく日本国に入国することができる。
2. (1) Czech nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or service passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic who are seeking entry into Japan for the purpose other than those referred to in paragraph 1 and with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding ninety consecutive days, may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) (1)の査証の要件の免除は、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み又は報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事する意図をもって日本国に入国することを希望するチェッコ国民には適用されない。
(2) The waiver of the visa requirement under subparagraph (1) shall not apply to Czech nationals who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in a public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes.
3 1及び2の査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するチェッコ国民に対し、入国、滞在、居住、出国その他の外国人の管理に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
3. The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph 1 and 2 above does not exempt Czech nationals entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the laws and regulations of Japan concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit, and other control over aliens.
4 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるチェッコ国民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
4. The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse the entry into or stay in Japan to Czech nationals considered undesirable.
5 日本国政府は、前記の諸措置を終了させることを希望する場合は、チェッコ共和国政府に対して書面による一箇月の予告を与える。
5. The Government of Japan, when it wishes to terminate the above measures will give one month's written notice to the Government of the Czech Republic.
6 日本国政府は、千九百九十四年三月二十五日付けの在チェッコ日本国大使館の口上書2にいう措置を千九百九十六年四月二十三日以後とらない。
6. The Government of Japan does not take measures referred to in 2 of the Embassy's Note Verbale dated March 25, 1994 on and after April 23, 1996.

チェッコ共和国外務省は、日本国大使館に敬意を表するとともに、チェッコ共和国政府が、査証の要件の免除に関し、相互主義に基づき、千九百九十六年三月十七日から次の措置をとる用意を有することを同大使館に通報する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic presents its compliments to the Embassy of Japan and has the honour to advise that, starting from March 17, 1996 the Government of the Czech Republic is prepared to take, on reciprocal basis, the following measures concerning the waiver of visa requirements:
1 日本国民であって、日本国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持し日本国政府の外交若しくは領事の任務又は公用の用務の目的でチェッコ共和国に入国することを希望するもの及びそのような旅券を所持し当該日本国民の家族の構成員でその世帯に属するものは、査証なしでチェッコ共和国の領域に入国し、その任務の期間中滞在するこができる。
1. Japanese nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or official passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan who are seeking entry into the Czech Republic for the purpose of exercising diplomatic or consular functions, or official duties of the Government of Japan and such nationals in possession of the said passports who are the members of their families forming part of their respective households, may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and stay there for the entire period of their assignment without visas.
2 (1) 日本国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持する日本国民であって、1にいう目的以外の目的で継続して九十日を超えない期間滞在する意図をもってチェッコ共和国に入国することを希望するものは、査証なしでチェッコ共和国の領域に入国し、滞在することができる。
2. (1) Japanese nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or official passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan who are seeking entry into the Czech Republic for the purpose other than those referred to in paragraph 1 and with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding ninety consecutive days, may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and stay there without visas.
(2) (1)の査証の要件の免除は、長期滞在若しくは永住、就職若しくは報酬を伴うその他の活動を目的としてチェッコ共和国の領域に入国することを希望する日本国民には適用されない。
(2) The waiver of the visa requirement under subparagraph (1) shall not apply to Japanese nationals who desire to enter the territory of the Czech Republic for the purpose of long-term or permanent residence, employment or other gainful activity.
3 1及び2の査証の要件の免除は、チェッコ共和国の領域に入国する日本国民に対し、チェッコ共和国の法令、即ち、外国人の入国、滞在、出国に関する法令に服することを免除するものではない。
3. The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph 1 and 2 above does not exempt Japanese nationals entering the territory of the Czech Republic from the necessity of complying with the laws and regulations of the Czech Republic, namely with the regulations governing entry, stay and departure of aliens.
4 チェッコ共和国政府は、好ましくないと認める日本国民に対し、チェッコ共和国の領域に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
4. The Government of the Czech Republic reserves the right to refuse enter or stay in the territory of the Czech Republic to Japanese nationals considered undesirable.
5 チェッコ共和国政府は、前記の諸措置を終了させることを希望する場合は、日本国政府に対して書面による一箇月の予告を与える。
5. The Government of the Czech Republic, when it wishes to terminate the above measures, will give one month's written notice to the Government of Japan.
6 チェッコ共和国政府は、千九百九十四年四月二十一日付けチェッコ共和国外務省の口上書第八八・〇四八／九四－ＭＰＯ号にいう外交官及びその家族の構成員に対する数次査証付与措置を千九百九十六年三月十七日以後とらない。
6. Starting from March 17, 1996 the Government of the Czech Republic shall cease to apply the measure concerning the granting of multiple visas to diplomatic agents and members of their families referred to in the Note Verbale of Ministry of Foreign Affairs No. 88.048/94-MPO dated April 21, 1994.
