外務省は、在本邦ポーランド共和国大使館に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が、査証の要件の免除に関し、相互主義に基づき、千九百九十五年二月七日から次の措置をとる用意を有することを同大使館に通報する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Japan is prepared to take, in a reciprocal basis, the following measures from February 7, 1995 concerning the waiver of visa requirement:
1 ポーランド国民であって、ポーランド共和国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持しポーランド共和国政府の外交若しくは領事の任務又は公用の用務の目的で日本国に入国することを希望するもの及びそのような旅券を所持し当該ポーランド国民の家族の構成員でその世帯に属するものは、その滞在期間のいかんを問わず、査証を取得することなく日本国に入国することができる
1. Polish nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or service passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland who are seeking entry into Japan for the purpose of exercising diplomatic or consular functions, or official duties of the Government of the Republic of Poland and such nationals in possession of the said passports who are the members of their families forming part of their respective households, may enter Japan without obtaining a visa irrespective of the duration of stay in Japan.
2(1) ポーランド共和国外務省が発給した有効な外交又は公用旅券を所持するポーランド国民であって、1にいう目的以外の目的で継続して九十日を超えない期間滞在する意図をもって日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく日本国に入国することができる。
2.(1) Polish nationals in possession of valid diplomatic or service passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland who are seeking entry into Japan for the purpose other than those referred to in paragraph 1 and with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding ninety consecutive days, may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) (1)の査証の要件の免除は、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み又は報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事する意図をもつて日本国に入国することを希望するポーランド国民には適用されない。
(2) The waiver of the visa requirement under sub-paragraph (1) shall not apply to Polish nationals who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment of permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation of or engaging in a public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes.
3 1及び2の査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するポーランド国民に対し、入国、滞在、居住、出国その他の外国人の管理に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
3. The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraphs 1 and 2 above does not exempt Polish nationals entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the laws and regulations of Japan concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit, and other control over aliens.
4 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるポーランド国民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
4. The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse the entry into or stay in Japan to Polish nationals considered undesirable.
5 日本国政府は、前記の措置を終了させることを希望する場合は、ポーランド共和国政府に対して書面による一箇月の予告を与える。
5. The Government of Japan, when it wishes to terminate the above measures, will give one month's written notice to the Government of the Republic of Poland.
