航空業務に関する日本国とフィジーとの間の協定の付表の修正に関する交換公文

書簡をもって啓上いたします。本大臣は、千九百八十年三月十日にスヴァで署名された航空業務に関するフィジーと日本国との間の協定(以下「協定」という。)に関し、千九百九十三年三月十日及び十一日にスヴァにおいてフィジー共和国及び日本国の航空当局の間で行われた協議に言及する光栄を有します。
Excellency, I have the honour to refer to the consultations held in Suva on 10 and 11 March 1993 between the aeronautical authorities of the Republic of Fiji and Japan concerning the Agreement between Fiji and Japan for Air Services signed at Suva on 10 March 1980(hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement").
本大臣は、前記の協議において到達した了解及び協定第十六条の規定に従い、協定の付表が次のように代わるべき旨をフィジー共和国政府に代わって提案する光栄を有します。
Pursuant to the understanding reached at the said consultations and Article 16 of the Agreement, I now have the honour to propose,on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Fiji, that the Schedule to the Agreement be replaced by the following:
付 表
"SCHEDULE
1 フィジーの一又は二以上の指定航空企業が両方向に運営する路線
1. Routes to be operated in both directionsby the designated airline or airlines of Fiji:
(a) フィジー内の地点－香港及び(又は)後に合意される東南アジア又は南太平洋内の一地点－東京－ソウル
(a) Points in Fiji - Hong Kong and/or onepoint in Southeast Asia or in South Pacificto be agreed upon later - Tokyo - Seoul.
(b) フィジー内の地点－大阪
(b) Points in Fiji - Osaka.
注1 路線(a)では、東南アジア内の一地点は、マニラ、バンコック、クアラ・ランプール、シンガポール又はジャカルタに限られる。
Notes: 1. On Route (a), one point inSoutheast Asia shall be limitedto Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur,Singapore or Jakarta.
注2 路線(b)では、フィジーの一又は二以上の指定航空企業は、関西国際空港が国際航空業務について供用を開始した後に、大阪への業務を行うことができる。
2. On Route (b), the designatedairline or airlines of Fiji mayserve Osaka only after the KansaiInternational Airport is openedto international air services.
2 日本国の一又は二以上の指定航空企業が両方向に運営する路線
2. Routes to be operated in both directions bythe designated airline or airlines of Japan:
日本国内の地点－後に合意される東南アジア及び(又は)南太平洋内の二地点－ナンディ－オークランド及び以遠の一地点
Points in Japan - two points inSoutheast Asia and/or in South Pacific tobe agreed upon later - Nadi - Auckland andone point beyond.
注 東南アジア内の地点は、香港、マニラ、バンコック、クアラ・ランプール、シンガポール及びジャカルタに限られる。
Note: Points in Southeast Asia shall belimited to Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok,Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta.
3 いずれの締約国の一又は二以上の指定航空企業が提供する協定業務も、当該締約国の領域内の一地点をその起点としなければならないが、当該路線上の他の地点は、いずれかの又はすべての飛行に当たり当該指定航空企業の選択によって省略することができる。
3. The agreed services provided by thedesignated airline or airlines of eitherContracting Party shall begin at a point inthe territory of the Contracting Party, butother points on the specified route may atthe option of the designated airline beomitted on any or all flights."
本大臣は、更に、前記の提案が日本国政府にとって受諾し得るものであるときは、この書簡及び受諾を表明する閣下の返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成し、その合意が閣下の返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを提案する光栄を有します。
If the above proposal is acceptable to he Government of Japan, I have further the honour to propose that this Note together with Your Excellency's Note in reply indicating such acceptance shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments, which shall enter into force on the date of Your Excellency's reply.

Excellency, I have the honour to refer to Your Excellency's Note of today's date, which reads as follows:

本使は、更に、日本国政府がフィジー共和国政府の前記の提案を受諾する旨を閣下に通報するとともに、閣下の書簡及びこの返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成し、その合意がこの返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを確認する光栄を有します。
I have further the honour to inform Your Excellency that the Government of Japan accepts the above proposal of the Government of the Republic of Fiji and to confirm that Your Excellency's Note and this Note shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments, which shall enter into force on the date of this reply.
本使は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに閣下に向かって敬意を表します。
