PROTOCOL EXTENDING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN ON COOPERATION IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
日本国政府及びアメリカ合衆国政府は、
The Government of the United States of America and the Government of Japan;
千九百八十八年六月二十日にトロントで署名された科学技術における研究開発のための協力に関する日本国政府とアメリカ合衆国政府との間の協定(以下「協定」という。)の有効期間が千九百九十三年六月二十日に終了することを認識し、
Recognizing that the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Japan on Cooperation in Research and Development in Science and Technology, signed at Toronto on June 20, 1988, (hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement") will terminate on June 20, 1993;
協定第九条２の規定に従って行動して、
Acting pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article IX of the Agreement;
次のとおり協定した。
Have agreed as follows:
第一条 協定は、千九百九十三年六月二十日より五年間延長する。
Article I The Agreement will be extended for five years, effective from June 20, 1993.
第二条 この議定書は、千九百九十三年六月二十日に効力を生ずる。
Article II This Protocol will enter into force on June 20, 1993.
千九百九十三年六月十六日にワシントンで、ひとしく正文である日本語及び英語により本書二通を作成した。
DONE at Washington, this sixteenth day of June, 1993, in duplicate, in the English and Japanese languages, each text being equally authentic.
