  　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本使は、千九百七十四年二月六日に東京で署名された渡り鳥及び絶滅のおそれのある鳥類並びにその環境の保護に関する日本国政府とオーストラリア政府との間の協定（以下「協定」という。）第一条２(c)に言及する光栄を有します。

Excellency,

 I have the honour to refer to paragraph 2 (c) of Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of Australia for the Protection of Migratory Birds and Birds in Danger of Extinction and their Environment, signed at Tokyo on 6 February 1974 (hereinafter referred to as “the Agreement”).

本使は、更に、両政府の権限のある当局が、協定の付表を検討し、それぞれの政府に対し、この書簡の付表をもって協定の付表に代えるよう勧告したことに関し、日本国政府が前記の勧告を受諾する旨を確認する光栄を有します。

With respect to the fact that the competent authorities of the two Governments reviewed the Annex to the Agreement and made recommendations to their respective Governments to replace the Annex to the Agreement by the Annex attached to this Note, I have the further honour to confirm the acceptance of the Government of Japan of the foregoing recommendations.

よって、協定の付表は、オーストラリア政府が前記の勧告を受諾する旨を確認する閣下の返簡の日付の日の後三箇月で、前記の勧告のとおり改正されたものとみなされます。
  　この書簡は、日本語及び英語で作成しました。

Accordingly, the Annex to the Agreement shall be considered amended as set forth in the foregoing recommendations three months after the date of Your Excellency’s reply confirming the acceptance of the Government of Australia of the foregoing recommendations.

 This Note is done in the Japanese and English languages.
