  　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本官は、千九百九十八年二月二十四日にマスカットで署名された航空業務に関するオマーン国と日本国との間の協定に関する交換公文で、オマーン国政府がバーレーン王国政府、カタール国政府及びアラブ首長国連邦政府とともにガルフ航空会社について完全な責任を受諾しているものに言及するとともに、オマーン国政府が現在ガルフ航空会社を所有していないことにかんがみ、オマーン国政府に代わって、同交換公文を二千十年四月七日に終了するとの了解を確認する光栄を有します。

	I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes concerning the Agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan for Air Services, signed at Muscat on February 24, 1998, in which the Government of the Sultanate of Oman accepts full responsibility jointly together with the Governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates for the Gulf Air Company, and to confirm, on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, the understanding that the said Exchange of Notes shall be terminated on 7 April 2010, considering that the Government of the Sultanate of Oman has withdrawn from the ownership of the Gulf Air Company.

  　本官は、更に、前記の了解が日本国政府にとって受諾し得るものであるときは、この書簡及び前記に同意される旨の閣下の返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成することを提案する光栄を有します。

	I have further the honour to propose that, if the foregoing understanding is acceptable to the Government of Japan, this Note and Your Excellency’s Note in reply concurring therein shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments.

  　本使は、更に、閣下の書簡に含まれた提案が日本国政府にとって受諾し得るものであることを日本国政府に代わって閣下に通報するとともに、閣下の書簡及びこの返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成することに同意する光栄を有します。

	I have further the honour to inform Your Excellency, on behalf of the Government of Japan, that the proposal contained in Your Excellency’s Note is acceptable to the Government of Japan, and to agree that Your Excellency’s Note and this Note in reply shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments.
