  　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本使は、二千五年十二月十三日にクアラルンプールで署名された経済上の連携に関する日本国政府とマレーシア政府との間の協定第百五十七条に言及する光栄を有します。

Excellency,

	I have the honour to refer to Article 157 of the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of Malaysia for an Economic Partnership signed at Kuala Lumpur on 13 December, 2005.  


							

						

						

					

					
				
			
		
			
			
				
				

				
				
				
					

						

							

								
  　本使は、更に、附属書二中、
    「五一・〇六－五一・一〇	　第五一・〇六項から第五一・一〇項までの各項の産品への第五一・〇六項から第五一・一〇項まで以外の項の材料からの変更（第五一・〇五項の非原産材料を使用する場合には、当該非原産材料のそれぞれがいずれかの締約国又は東南アジア諸国連合の加盟国である第三国の領域においてカードし、又はコームされた場合に限る。）」
  を、次のように改めることを日本国政府に代わって提案する光栄を有します。
    「五一・〇六－五一・一〇	　第五一・〇六項から第五一・一〇項までの各項の産品への第五一・〇六項から第五一・一〇項まで以外の項の材料からの変更」


							

						

						

							

								
	I have further the honour to propose on behalf of the Government of Japan that Annex 2 shall be amended by deleting

	“51.06-51.10	A change to heading 51.06 through 51.10 from any heading outside that group, provided that, where non-originating materials of heading 51.05 are used, each of the non-originating materials is carded or combed in the territory of either Country or a third State which is a member country of the ASEAN.” 

	and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

	“51.06-51.10	A change to heading 51.06 through 51.10 from any heading outside that group.”

	If the above proposal is acceptable to the Government of Malaysia, I have further the honour to propose that this Note together with Your Excellency’s Note in reply indicating such acceptance shall constitute an agreement between Japan and Malaysia, which shall enter into force on the nineteenth day after the date of exchange of this Note and Your Excellency’s Note in reply.

  　本官は、更に、前記の日本国政府の提案がマレーシア政府にとって受諾し得るものであることをマレーシア政府に代わって確認するとともに、閣下の書簡及びこの返簡がマレーシアと日本国との間の合意を構成することに同意する光栄を有します。本官は、閣下が本日この返簡を受領されることによって、合意された改正が二千九年四月一日に効力を生ずることを了解いたします。

	I have further the honour to confirm on behalf of the Government of Malaysia that the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of Malaysia and to agree that Your Excellency’s Note and this Note in reply shall constitute an agreement between Malaysia and Japan.
