  　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本使は、千九百九十年五月二十五日に東京で署名された日本国政府と大韓民国政府との間の海上における捜索及び救助並びに船舶の緊急避難に関する協定（以下「協定」という。）に言及するとともに、協定第五条２の規定に従い、日本語、韓国語及び英語で作成された協定の現行の附属書がこの書簡に添付する附属書に代わることを日本国政府に代わって提案する光栄を有します。


							

						

						

							

								
	I have the honour to refer to the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Korea on Maritime Search and Rescue and Emergency Refuge of Vessels, signed at Tokyo on May 25, 1990(hereinafter referred to as “the Agreement”), and to propose, on behalf of the Government of Japan, that, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article V of the Agreement, the existing ANNEX to the Agreement done in the Japanese, Korean and English languages shall be replaced by the ANNEX attached to this Note.

							

						

						

					

					
				
			
		
			
			
				
				

				
				
				
					

						

							

								
    本使は、更に、前記の提案が大韓民国政府にとって受諾し得るものであるときは、この書簡及びその旨の閣下の返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成するものとし、その合意が閣下の返簡の日付の日に効力を生ずることを提案する光栄を有します。


							

						

						

							

								
	I have further the honour to propose that, if the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of the Republic of Korea, this Note and Your Excellency’s Note in reply shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments, which shall enter into force on the date of Your Excellency’s Note in reply.

  １　この協定の第五条１の通信連絡は、国際電話、国際ファクシミリ、無線通信その他の通信手段により行う。


							

						

						

							

								
1.	The communication referred to in paragraph 1 of Article V of this Agreement shall be done by International Telephone, International Facsimile, Radio Communication or other means of communication.
