書簡をもって啓上いたします。本官は、千九百九十八年三月四日にマナーマで署名された航空業務に関するバハレーン国と日本国との間の協定に関する交換公文で、バーレーン王国政府がオマーン国政府、カタール国政府及びアラブ首長国連邦政府とともにガルフ航空会社について完全な責任を受諾することを定めたものに言及するとともに、オマーン国、カタール国及びアラブ首長国連邦が現在ガルフ航空会社に対し出資を行っておらず、バーレーン王国が同社に単独で責任を有するようになったことにかんがみ、バーレーン王国政府に代わって、同交換公文を二千八年十二月二十二日に終了するとの了解を確認する光栄を有します。
Manama, December 20, 2008 Excellency, I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes concerning the Agreement between the State of Bahrain and Japan for Air Services, signed at Manama on March 4, 1998, in which the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain accepts full responsibility jointly together with the Governments of the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates for the Gulf Air Company, and to confirm, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the understanding that the said Exchange of Notes shall be terminated on December 22, 2008, considering that the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have withdrawn from the Gulf Air Company and the Kingdom of Bahrain has become solely responsible for the Company.
本官は、更に、前記の了解が日本国政府にとって受諾し得るものであるときは、この書簡及び前記に同意される旨の閣下の返簡が両国政府間の合意を構成することを提案する光栄を有します。 本官は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに閣下に向かって敬意を表します。 二千八年十二月二十日にマナーマで
I have further the honour to propose that, if the foregoing understanding is acceptable to the Government of Japan, this Note and Your Excellency’s Note in reply concurring therein shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments. I avail myself of this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.
