    書簡をもって啓上いたします。本官は、千九百八十三年一月二十一日にストックホルムで署名された所得に対する租税に関する二重課税の回避及び脱税の防止のためのスウェーデンと日本国との間の条約（以下「条約」という。）並びに本日署名された同条約を改正する議定書（以下「議定書」という。）に言及するとともに、スウェーデン政府と日本国政府との間で到達した次の了解をスウェーデン政府に代わって確認する光栄を有します。

							

						

						

							

								
Sir,

	I have the honour to refer to the Convention between Sweden and Japan for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income signed at Stockholm on January 21, 1983 (hereinafter referred to as "the Convention"), and to the Protocol amending the said Convention which was signed today (hereinafter referred to as "the Protocol") and to confirm, on behalf of the Government of Sweden, the following understanding reached between the Government of Sweden and the Government of Japan:

							

						

						

					

					
				
			
		
			
			
				
				

				
				
				
					

						

							

								
１　議定書により改正された条約の第四条１に関し、「一方の締約国の居住者」には、当該締約国並びにその地方自治体及び特別の法人を含むことが了解される。

							

						

						

							

								
1.	With reference to paragraph 1 of Article 4 of the Convention amended by the Protocol, it is understood that the term "resident of a Contracting State" includes that Contracting State itself and any local authority and statutory body thereof.

							

						

						

					

					
				
			
		
			
			
				
				

				
				
				
					

						

							

								
２　議定書により改正された条約の第六条２に関し、「不動産」には、建物を含むことが了解される。
