日本国大使館は、チェッコ共和国外務省に敬意を表するとともに、日本国政府が日本国とチェッコ共和国との間の旅行並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するため、日本国に入国することを希望するチェッコ国民に対する査証及び査証料の免除に関し、千九百九十八年九月十日から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとる用意を有することを同省に通報する光栄を有する。
The Embassy of Japan presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of Japan, with a view to facilitating travel as well as cultural and commercial relations between Japan and the Czech Republic, is prepared to take, on a reciprocal basis, the following measures from September 10, 1998 concerning the waiving of visas and visa fees for Czech nationals wishing to enter Japan:
(1) 有効なチェッコ旅券を所持するチェッコ国民であって、継続して九十日を越えない期間滞在する意図をもって日本国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、日本国に入国することができる。
(1) Czech nationals in possession of a valid Czech passport who wish to enter Japan with the intention of staying there for a period not exceeding ninety consecutive days may enter Japan without obtaining a visa.
(2) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、チエツコ国民であって、就職し、永住し、自由職業若しくは他の生業を営み、報酬を得る目的で芸能(スポーツを含む。)に従事し、又は継続して九十日を越える期間滞在する意図をもって日本国に入国することを希望するものについては、適用しない。
(2) The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph (1) above will not apply to Czech nationals who desire to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or permanent residence, of exercising a profession or other occupation or of engaging in public entertainment (including sport) for remunerative purposes or with the intention of staying there for a period exceeding ninety consecutive days.
(3) 査証が必要とされ、かつ、付与されるときは、日本国の権限のある外交及び領事当局は、その査証についていかなる手数料も徴収しない。
(3) For visas, when required and granted, the competent Japanese diplomatic and consular authorities will not charge any fees.
(4) (1)の規定に基づく査証の要件の免除は、日本国に入国するチェッコ国民に対し、外国人の入国、滞在、居住、出国及びその他の事項に関する日本国の法令に服することを免除するものではない。
(4) The waiver of the visa requirements under paragraph (1) above does not exempt Czech nationals entering Japan from the necessity of complying with the Japanese laws and regulations concerning the entry, stay, residence, exit, and other matters relating to aliens.
(5) 日本国政府は、好ましくないと認めるチェッコ国民に対し、日本国に入国し又は滞在することを拒否する権利を留保する。
(5) The Government of Japan reserves the right to refuse entry into or stay in Japan to Czech nationals considered undesirable.
(6) 日本国政府は、公安、秩序、衛生等の公の政策上の理由により前記の諸措置の全部又は一部の適用を一時的に停止する権利を留保する。このような適用の停止については、外交上の経路を通じて直ちにチェッコ共和国政府に通告する。
(6) The Government of Japan reserves the right to temporarily suspend the application of all or any part of the foregoing measures for reason of public policy including those relating to public security, order and health. Any such suspension will be notified immediately to the Government of the Czech Republic through diplomatic channels.
(7) 日本国政府は、前記の諸措置を終了する場合は、チェッコ共和国政府に対して書面による一箇月の予告を与える。
(7) The Government of Japan, when it terminates the foregoing measures, will give one month's written notice to the Government of the Czech Republic.
日本国大使館は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねてチェッコ共和国外務省に向かって敬意を表する。
The Embassy of Japan avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic the assurances of its highest consideration.

チェッコ共和国外務省は日本国大使館に敬意を表するとともに、チェッコ共和国政府がチェッコ共和国と日本国との間の旅行並びに文化及び通商に関する関係を促進するため、チェッコ共和国に入国することを希望する日本国民に対する査証及び査証料の免除に関し、千九百九十八年八月十五日から相互主義に基づき次の措置をとる用意を有することを同大使館に通報する光栄を有する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic presents its compliments to the Embassy of Japan and has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of the Czech Republic, with a view to facilitating travel as well as cultural and commercial relations between the Czech Republic and Japan, is prepared to take, on a reciprocal basis, the following measures from August 15, 1998 concerning the waiving of visas and visa fees for Japanese nationals wishing to enter the Czech Republic:
(1) 有効な日本国旅券を所持する日本国民であって、継続して九十日を越えない期間滞在する意図をもってチェッコ共和国に入国することを希望するものは、査証を取得することなく、チェッコ共和国に入国することができる。
