　Excellency.


　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本使は、海外経済協力基金に対するジョルダンの債務についての債務救済措置に関する千九百九十三年三月二十八日付けの日本国政府とジョルダン・ハシェミット王国政府との間の交換公文に言及する光栄を有します。本使は、更に、日本国政府とジョルダン・ハシェミット王国政府の代表者との間で最近到達した次の了解を日本国政府に代わって確認する光栄を有します。

　I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, dated March 28, 1993, concerning a debt relief measure with respect to the Jordanian debts owed to the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund. I have further the honour to confirm, on behalf of the Government of Japan, the following understanding recently reached between the representatives of the Government of Japan and of the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan:


1　前記の交換公文の2(1)を次のように改める。

1. Sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 2 of the said Exchange of Notes shall be amended as follows:


(1)　「三十七億八千六十七万六千百四十六円(三、七八〇、六七六、一四六円)」を「五十億千百三十三万八千三百五十五円(五、〇一一、三三八、三五五円)」に置き換える。

(1) The term "three billion seven hundred eighty million six hundred seventy-six thousand one hundred and forty-six yen (3,780,676,146)" is deleted and replaced by the term "five billion eleven million three hundred thirty-eight thousand three hundred and fifty-five yen (5,011,338,355)".


(2)　「千九百九十三年六月三十日」を「千九百九十四年二月二十八日」に置き換える。

(2) The term "June 30, 1993" is deleted and replaced by the term "February 28, 1994".


2　前記の交換公文の付表を次のように置き換える。

　I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, dated March 28, 1993, concerning a debt relief measure with respect to the Jordanian debts insured by the Government of Japan.
