　Tokyo, September 20, 1994


　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本大臣は、海外経済協力基金に対するボリヴィアの債務についての債務救済措置に関する千九百九十二年十一月二十三日付けの日本国政府とボリヴィア共和国政府との間の交換公文に言及する光栄を有します。本大臣は、更に、日本国政府の代表者とボリヴィア共和国政府の代表者との間で最近到達した次の了解を日本国政府に代わって確認する光栄を有します。

　Excellency,I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Bolivia, dated November 23, 1992, concerning a debt relief measure with respect to the Bolivian debts owed to the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund. I have further the honour to confirm, on behalf of the Government of Japan, the following understanding recently reached between the representatives of the Government of Japan and of the Government of the Republic of Bolivia:


1　前記の交換公文の2(1)を次のように改める。

1. Sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 2 of the said Exchange of Notes shall be amended as follows:


(1)　「到来したか又は到来するもの」を「到来したもの」に置き換える。

(1) The term "having fallen or falling" is deleted and replaced by the term "having fallen".


(2)　「千九百九十三年六月三十日」を「千九百九十四年五月三十一日」に置き換える。

(2) The term "June 30, 1993" is deleted and replaced by the term "May 31, 1994".


2　前記の交換公文の2(2)を次のように改める。

2. Sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 2 of the said Exchange of Notes shall be amended as follows:


　「三十六億千七十二万九百六十二円(三、六一〇、七二〇、九六二円)」を「六十億九千九百十二万四千七百五十八円(六、〇九九、一二四、七五八円)」に置き換える。

　The term "three billion six hundred ten million seven hundred twenty thousand nine hundred and sixty-two yen (3,610,720,962)" is deleted and replaced by the term "six billion ninety-nine million one hundred twenty-four thousand seven hundred and fifty-eight yen (6,099,124,758)".


3　前記の交換公文の付表一を次のように置き換える。

　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本大臣は、日本国政府が保険を引き受けた商業上の債務についての債務救済措置に関する千九百九十二年十一月二十三日付けの日本国政府とボリヴィア共和国政府との間の交換公文に言及する光栄を有します。本大臣は、更に、日本国政府の代表者とボリヴィア共和国政府の代表者との間で最近到達した次の了解を日本国政府に代わって確認する光栄を有します。


							

						

						

							

								
　I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Bolivia, dated November 23, 1992, concerning a debt relief measure with respect to the commercial debts insured by the Government of Japan. I have further the honour to confirm, on behalf of the Government of Japan, the following understanding recently reached between the representatives of the Government of Japan and of the Government of the Republic of Bolivia:


							

						

						

					

					
				
			
		
			
			
				
				

				
				
				
					

						

							

								
1　前記の交換公文の1(1)(a)及び(b)を次のように改める。

(5)　(4)の規定にかかわらず、千九百九十三年七月一日から千九百九十四年五月三十一日までの間(両期日を含む。)に弁済期限が到来した債務の二・六八パーセントであって、前記の規定に従ってそのうち〇・八五パーセントが一九九三年七月一日に、〇・八九パーセントが－九九四年一月一日に、また、〇・九四パーセントが一九九四年七月一日に支払われるべきであったものは、一九九五年一月一日に支払われる。


							

						

						

							

								
(5) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-paragraph (4) above, two point six eight per cent (2.68%) of the debts having fallen due between July 1, 1993 and May 31, 1994, both dates inclusive, of which nought point eight five per cent (0.85%) would have been paid on July 1, 1993, nought point eight nine per cent (0.89%) would have been paid on January 1, 1994 and nought point nine four per cent (0.94%) would have been paid on July 1, 1994 in accordance with the said provisions, will be paid on January 1, 1995."
