　Brasilia, August 30, 1991


　書簡をもって啓上いたします。本大臣は、ブラジル連邦共和国と日本国との間の友好関係及び経済協力を強化することを目的として資金還流措置の下で供与される日本国の借款に関する千九百八十九年十一月十日付けの交換公文に関し、ブラジル連邦共和国政府の代表者と日本国政府の代表者との間で最近到達した次の了解をブラジル連邦共和国政府に代わって確認する光栄を有します。

　Excellency,
　With reference to the Exchange of Notes dated November 10, 1989, concerning a Japanese loan to be extended under the Financial Recycling Scheme with a view to strengthening the friendly relations and economic cooperation between the Federative Republic of Brazil and Japan, I have the honour to confirm, on behalf of the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the following understanding recently reached between the representatives of the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil and of the Government of Japan:


　前記の交換公文の1の「ブラジル港湾公社」を「サンパウロ埠頭公社」に改める。

　Paragraph 1 of the said Exchange of Notes shall be amended by deleting the term "the Empresa de Portos do Brazil S.A." and replacing it by the term "the Companhia Docas do Estado de Sao Paulo".


　本大臣は、閣下が前記の了解を日本国政府に代わって確認されれば幸いであります。

　I should be grateful if Your Excellency would be good enough to confirm, on behalf of the Government of Japan, the understanding set out above.


　本大臣は、以上を申し進めるに際し、ここに重ねて閣下に向かって敬意を表します。

　I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.
