メグナ橋建設計画の実施のための贈与に関する昭和六十一年十月三十日付けの交換公文に基づく平成元年度の贈与限度額に関する日本国政府とバングラデシュ人民共和国政府との間の交換公文

 Dhaka, July 30, 1989
 Sir,With reference to the Exchange of Notes economic cooperation to be extended with a view to strengthening friendly and cooperative relations between Japan and the People's Republic of Bangladesh, I have the honour to refer to the recent discussions held between the representatives of the Government of Japan and of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and to propose on behalf of the Government of Japan, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the above-mentioned Exchange of Notes, the following arrangements:
 For the purpose of contributing to the execution of the project for the construction of the Meghna Beidge by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Government of Japan will extend to the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh a grant up to one billion nine hundred thirty-six million yen (1,936,000,000) during the period between the date of coming into force of the present arrangements and March 31, 1990, unless the period is extended by mutual agreement between the authorities concerned of the two Governments.
 I have further the honour to propose that this Note and your Note in reply confirming on behalf of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh the foregoing arrangements shall be regarded as constituting an agreement between the two Governments, which will enter into force on the force on the date of your reply.
 I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to you the assurance of my high consideration.
