ANNEX III
General and Financial Provisions for implementing joint activities under Japan-Italy Executive Program in Science and Technology for the period from 2002 to 2006 The financed projects of the present Program are exclusively mentioned in the Annex II-A. STAY OF JAPANESE RESEARCHERS TRAVELLING TO ITALY: The applications for both long-term and short-term research visits are to be made through the Embassy of Italy in Tokyo two months before the beginning of the visit. The application concerning the research stay period is to be completed with the following documents, in two copies: - letter of invitation by the hosting Institution; - application signed by the researcher, including personal and professional data of the researcher, title of the research project, date and length of the visit (two original applications and two copies); - detailed work program for studying stay - "curriculum vitae"; - declaration of the projectユs co-ordinator concerning the participation of researcher to the project (only in case the researcher is not responsible for the project); The application is to be made with a declaration concerning the engagement to respect the following points: - to respect the indicated period of the visit - not to receive retributions by other International Organizations or Corporations concerning the researcher's stay period - not to change work program, centre of research and not to depart from Italy without authorisation - to present at the end of research a final report on the activities carried out - to transmit to the INA Assitalia, Lungotevere Flaminio, 34, 00196 Roma, accidents and/or diseases for the insuranceユs coverage; The renunciation, in case of serious and valid reasons, should prevent the receiving Party from accepting further proposals of mission. The Government of Italy is to provide 1300 Euro per month for long term stays (1 month) and 93 Euro per day for short term stays (up to 10 days). For each project listed in Annex II A the Government of Italy should finance yearly 1 short term stay or 1 long term stay. The researchers can receive the payments at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or at the nearest Provincial Treasury (Office of the Banca d'Italia ). JOURNEY OF ITALIAN RESEARCHERS TRAVELLING TO JAPAN The Italian researchers who want to go to Japan for stays at the local Institutions, have to present, two months before the date of departure, a formal application to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DGPCC, Uff. V。, Piazzale della Farnesina 1, 00194 Roma. The Government of Italy is to provide the participants with a remuneration concerning only the travelling expenses in economic class. The application is to be completed with: - letter of invitation by the hosting Institution with its name and address; - foreseen dates of departure and arrival; - title of the researchユs project; - declaration of Italian researcher with the engagement: to pay penalties in case of renunciation to travel : to deliver air ticket within 15 days after returning with travelling documents and a final report on the activities carried out. - declaration of the projectユs co-ordinator concerning the participation of the researcher to the project (only in case the researcher is not responsible of project). |
