| The
course has two uphill sections in it.
                        The bobsleigh/luge track, nicknamed the
Spiral course, is the first in the world
to have racers go uphill in two places.
It was built to follow the natural shape
                        of the mountain, without requiring
trenches to be dug for the track. Ammonia
coolant is used to maintain the track's
icy coating; most tracks use CFC gases,
which cause damage to the atmosphere's
                        ozone layer.
