Visit to Japan by Mr. Nong Duc Manh, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

His Excellency Mr. Nong Duc Manh, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, accompanied by a suite, paid an Official Visit to Japan from October 2 to 5, 2002.
During his stay in Japan, the General Secretary was received in audience by His Majesty The Emperor of Japan. The General Secretary also held a meeting with Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan. The Prime Minister of Japan hosted a Dinner in honor of the General Secretary.
The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the General Secretary, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
