Attachment 6 (Movement of Natural Persons) Japan's Offer Coverage includes the following sectors/matters: * Easing of the requirement for granting entry and temporary stay for Thai cook - Under certain conditions such as the minimum of 5 years experience as Thai cook and with the certification approved by the Thai government (the time spent at an educational institution to acquire the certification will count towards the requirement of 5 years experience). * Granting entry and temporary stay for instructor of Thai classical/traditional dance, Thai music, Thai cuisine, Thai boxing and Thai language - On condition that they satisfy requirements of the status of residence "Instructor" set out in the Japanese Immigration Law and its regulations. * Clarification on the requirement of the graduation from university or college for certain categories of the Status of Residence under the Japanese Immigration Law - A graduation from university or college in Thailand may be considered to be equivalent to the graduation from university or college in Japan, subject to evaluation by the Japanese authorities, in accordance with Japan's laws and regulations. * Certified careworker - Continuing discussion regarding the possibility of accepting Thai certified careworker to reach a conclusion within 1 year if possible, but not later than 2 years, after the entry into force of the JTEPA. * Spa service (1) Considering the possibility of acceptance of spa managers and instructors of spa service - On condition that they satisfy the requirements of the status of residence "Investor/Business Manager" or "Instructor" under the Japanese Immigration Law and its regulations, and his/her employees/students have necessary qualification. (2) Spa therapist - Continuing discussion regarding the possibility of accepting Thai spa therapist to reach a conclusion not later than 2 years after the entry into force of the JTEPA. Thailand's Offer Coverage includes the following matters: * Permit to stay and work permit for the Japanese short-term business visitors - Work permit to be granted, when applied for, initially up to 90 days and may be extended up to one year from the arrival date. * Recommendation to the Royal Thai Government that the monthly income requirement on issuance and renewal of permit to stay be reduced from 60,000 baht to 50,000 baht per month * Criteria for issuance and renewal of work permit for each foreigner - Reach a conclusion not later than 2 years after the entry into force of the JTEPA. * The restriction on the number of foreign employees permitted for one company as requirement for work permit issuance. - Reach a conclusion not later than 2 years after the entry into force of the JTEPA. * The immigration requirement of employing a certain number of Thai nationals for each foreigner permitted to stay - Reach a conclusion not later than 3 years after the entry into force of the JTEPA. * Procedures and requirements regarding work permit and visa application - Discussion on the procedure of notification to the Ministry of Labour by the Japanese short-term business visitors to reach a conclusion not later than 1 year after the entry into force of the JTEPA. - Clarification on procedure for visa and work permit application under Section 8 of the Working of Aliens Act 1978. - Expansion under certain conditions of the access to the One Stop Center for visas and work permits Both sides confirmed the establishment of joint mechanisms to discuss issues related to movement of natural persons, including review of specific commitments, and to discuss mutual recognition of the education, licenses, or certifications.
