Fiji Government's assistance to the students affected by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Departure of the students)

  1. After the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake, the Government of the Republic of Fiji offered scholarships for university and high school students affected by the earthquake in order to study in Fijian educational institutions for one year.
  2. 5 high school students departed for Fiji on 5 January. University students will also depart in mid-February. The Government of Japan would like to express gratitude to the hospitality of the Government of the Republic of Fiji.
