Mali: Ecole de maintien de la Paix (EMP)

The EMP in Bamako is one of the Center of Excellence in Western Africa and Japan provided fincial support of US$ 2,500,000 to cover the costs for organizing training courses on DDR and CIMIC, construction of administrative building, and providing equipement. In September 2009, 2 JSDF personnel have been dispatched as lecturers to the CIMIC training course. On 9 October 2009, the inauguration ceremony of administrative building constructed by Japanese fund was organized with the presence of the President of Republic of Mali H.E.Mr.Toure and Japanese Ambassador Ms. Nakagawa. As of March 2010, the number of trainees recieved training funded　by Japan reached to 100.
