(i) One Village One Product Market has opened in Narita and Kansai both International Airport, and introdued African Products. In 2009, products from Namibia and Swaziland were added. When VIP from Africa came to Japan,We organized their visiting to the shop.

(ii) From May 19 to the end of August, a convinience-store in METI sold items of OVOP including from Africa. Convinience-Store in Foreign Ministry sold items from August 2009 to January 2010.

(iii) From June 1st to September 18, OVOP exhibition setted out at the entrance hall of METI which was shown by many VIPs including from Africa (In August 2009, exhibition was in at the Foreign MInistry as well).

(iv) In 16 February, 2010 training seminar of OVOP for African trainees will be held in Japan.

(V) Offered “Product Consultation/Evaluation Service" to African companies in April 2009. Results were reported to the ADC (African Diplomatic Corps) on July 17 and to each participating company (in English/French translation) by July end.

(vi) Supported recipients of the Consultation/Evaluation Service in exhibiting at "FOODEX 2010" (March 2010). African companies will be allotted 30 of 60 JETRO booths at FOODEX.

(vii) Provided comprehensive support to firms with products found to have high potential in the Japanese market through the Consultation/Evaluation Service (spices, herbal tea, baobab, coffee, essential oils). Support included the dispatch of experts, provision of training programs and seminars, and participation in trade fairs.

(viii) Of the total 8 items adopted for the "Pilot Demonstration Project for Development and Import Schemes," 6 were African products (cacao, mineral water, organic cotton products, shea butter products, tea and baskets).
