SICA: Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana, which was established in December 1991 for the purpose of achieving socio-economic integration of the region and includes Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, and Belize (the Dominican Republic is an associate member country).
