1.
A comprehensive rural development program which is promoted while devising solutions for complex intertwined issues such as desertification, poverty, and gender. This program combines the introduction of techniques such as afforestation that take a relatively long time for results to appear with small-scale projects which are expected to bring quick improvements to the lives of residents (introduction of heat-efficient furnaces which can reduce firewood consumption, installation of wells aimed at safe water use, etc.). It has been confirmed that by using this method, the results of afforestation and similar efforts are retained and expanded long after the survey.
