Strengthening intellectual property protections is extremely important to promote technological innovation and to achieve economic growth. The Government of Japan actively contributes to enforcing of global cooperation through multilateral discussions. The Government is working on improving global environment in order that Japanese intellectual property is appropriately protected and utilized overseas, by promoting protection and utilization of intellectual property through economic partnership agreement.
