Olympic Ecology

In keeping with one of the goals of 1998 Olympic Winter Games--to pay homage to the beauty and bounty of nature--Olympic venues have been selected and designed to protect wildlife; brand-new technology is being used to minimize environmental damage; and everything from staff uniforms to paper plates have been planned with recycling in mind.
