The School Band Welcomes Olympic Visitors (February 8) On the evening of February 8, the Yamanouchi Middle School Band put on a concert at Yudanaka Station to welcome the spectators arriving for the skiing and snowboarding events taking place in Yamanouchi Town. It began snowing around noon, and it was very cold, but plenty of people stopped and listened happily to our performance. Some American tourists in the crowd even danced and sang along with our music. That made us really happy to be playing. It felt like we were doing something that people appreciated.
