This dance, whose name means "snow sprites," will be performed by 150 students from Nagano City schools. They will wear old-style straw snow coats for the first part of the performance. Then they will remove the coats to reveal costumes based on the flags of the participating countries. Dressed like this, they will lead the national Olympic teams into the stadium, accompanied by sumo wrestlers.
