  1. The Fifth Meeting of the Japan-EU Space Policy Dialogue will be held in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium on January 17, 2023, and The Third Meeting of the Japan-France Comprehensive Dialogue on Space will be held in Paris, French Republic on January 18-20, 2023.
  2. Japanese delegation will be led by Mr. KASAI Yasuyuki, Director General, National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office and Mr. ISHIZUKI Hideo, Ambassador in charge of International Security Policy (Deputy Assistant Minister, Foreign Policy Bureau). EU Delegation will be led by Mr. Timo PESONEN, Director-General, Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space, European Commission and Ms. Carine CLAEYS, Special Envoy for Space/Head of the Space Task Force, European External Action Service, and French Delegation will be led by Mr. Vincent COUSIN, Deputy Secretary General for Defense and National Security.
  3. Each dialogue will provide an opportunity to exchange information on the latest space policy of each side and to hold discussions on civil space cooperation and space security cooperation.

(1) The Japan-EU Space Policy Dialogue
As both sides decided to launch a Japan-EU Space Policy Dialogue in the Joint Press Statement of the 21st Japan-EU summit in November 2013, the First Meeting was held in October 2014.
Recently, the Fourth Meeting was held in March 2019.
(2) The Japan-France Comprehensive Dialogue on Space
As both sides mentioned enhancement of intergovernmental dialogues on space in Japan-France Foreign and Defense Ministers’ Meeting in March 2015, the First Meeting of the Japan-France Comprehensive Dialogue on Space was held in March 2016.
Recently, the Preliminary Meeting for the Third Meeting was held in November 2020.
